Becoming an LVI Global Fellow
The Fellow designation is awarded to dentists who have completed a minimum of 278 continuing education hours and successfully passed a comprehensive exam covering the many cosmetic, restorative, and neuromuscular skills and techniques taught in the LVI Core Series.
The LVI Core series, a seven-part continuing education program, consists of:
- Core I: Advanced Functional Dentistry – The Power of Physiologic Based Occlusion
- Core II: Orthotic Maintenance, Adjustment and Essential Aesthetic Reconstructive Techniques
- Core III: Mastering Dynamic Adhesion in Complex Reconstructive Cases
- Core IV: Advanced Principles, Case Stabilization and Bite Transfer In The Neuromuscular Practice
- Core V: Comprehensive Aesthetic Occlusal Reconstruction – Rehabilitation Begins!
- Core VI: Coronoplasty and Case Finishing – Critical Steps For Neuromuscular Success
- Core VII: Full Mouth Reconstruction – Essential Tools for Finalization of Neuromuscular Rehabilitation
In addition to the LVI Global Core series, Dr. John Schmid has completed the Practical Advanced TMD Practice: Level 1 course. This course teaches the real-world components of TMD evaluation and provides advanced neuromuscular dentistry training to include things such as the discussion of TMD record and radiographic evaluation of the head and neck, as well as the relationship between TMD and issues including obstructive sleep apnea.
